I work with children and young people up to 25 and their families - biological, adoptive or foster. I offer short and long-term individual weekly psychotherapy sessions, as well as intensive long-term individual psychotherapy (up to 3 sessions a week).

Children and young people who come to see me  generally struggle with wide range of difficulties such as:

  • depression, anxiety, fatigue and isolation

  • low confidence and poor self-esteem

  • social phobia and excessive shyness

  • chronic physical symptoms (stomach ache, headache) with no underlying medical causes

  • behavioural difficulties with high levels defiance, anger and aggression

  • obsessive thoughts, compulsive behaviours and selective mutism

  • difficulties in relationships with parents/siblings/step parents/step siblings

  • difficulties around sexuality and gender identity issues

  • self-harm and suicidal thoughts

  • difficulties around eating, sleeping and self care

  • anxiety about starting or attending school as well as stress to do with academic pressure

  • early trauma or more recent experience of traumatic event(s)

  • difficulties in adjusting after some painful life events such as divorce, bereavement, chronic illness,…

I generally meet with parents/carers 2 or 3 times before meeting with your child so we can explore together what the difficulties are and how best we can support your child.
